I just did a side-by-side comparison of the T252 and the Echo 2620T! I understand it's the same company but the Shindawia line is so underrated. The comfort grip and 3” swath is just a couple advantages the T252 brings to the table. Once a Husqvarna-only fleet is slowly being taken over my Echo/Shindawia equipment. Also there wasn't any noticeable advantage to the “torque” model.

The handles and controls on the shindiawa are different from the echo. More comfortable to me that's why I skip the echo and go to the shindiawa. I do have an echo backpack blower which is also a close match to the shindiawa. When it comes to chainsaws though I'll grab a Stihl.

I've used an electric B & D trimmer for years. It's been a workhorse but I no longer am, and wanted to make my job easier. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG Around the corners, the small side yard etc. was a pain to run the cord out to, so I bought this thinking I'd use it for touch-ups and hard to reach places. Well, I haven't used the corded one since! This is so light weight and so much easier. It has all the power I need because I start wearing down after about 20 minutes and I haven't run out of battery yet. It takes about two hours to charge. I've used it about twice a week for a month and still have line left too. My favorite feature is the blade inside the shield that keeps the line trim to where I don't even have to think about it. You can see from my pic that it's been heavily used and I probably should clean it more often. Very happy with it.

The company i work for uses Echo and Shindaiwa weed wackers and we run them about 6 hours a day, so one thing we found out was using them in tall grass , weeds , they do jam up and have to get cleaned periodically, if not every day, so this one job a few weeks ago, my co worker was running his machine, an echo t302x model, ran it so hard he melted off the plastic shield 🫥 what in the blazes i said, how can you do that, lol so now he's got and using a no shield Echo weed wacker 😅

Easy to start my ass. You get these started DONT TURN THEM OFF. My guys love them if they're running. But oh my god are they hard to start. Watch the guys showing off their new Shindaiwas on UA-cam. None start on the first pull. 5 pulls at best. They have replaced my "I think they suck like stihl list"

Wish I had a position with authority in the company cause I'd bring back the c-27,s270,c270 design. I've got a c-27 and a s270 which anyone who knows are all identical with the exception of the 27's old style carburetor. Mine have been going strong for 30+ yrs and have seen HEAVY HEAVY use. Not only are they best quality ever made but with the offset handle bars and high end throttles they are the most comfortable trimmers to use. Their tk round slide carbs also make trigger response incredible. Yep I'd bring back the bones and maybe only change some aesthetics (maybe) and then I'd market them the right way. Done right they could lead the U.S commercial market. The new models since echo just don't do it for me #1 that stupid triangle gear case is annoying I can't stand it. OG shin was sleek, slim, and perfect. #2 The 3 bolt crank I'm not a fan of imo the 4 is better. #3 round slide carb is better #4 LOATHE the cheap ass plastic throttle triggers that mimic other brands the old style was superior. #5 the shaft- there are only 2 cutter models available and the one with a solid shaft is the 262 which imo should have been a 28cc. The 302 has a flex shaft in it.... WHY!!!! You buy a shin cause you want the best not a flex shaft that is less strong and more maintenance when the solid is basically zero maintenance. Wish I had bought a 282 yrs back and changed the throttle assembly but nope can't even buy them anymore. Guess I'll just run my 270s til the end of time.

“Shindaiwas gotcha covered” lol this guy is making it look like Shindaiwa is the best brand out there when it’s actually not, Echo, Stihl, Redmax, Husqvarna and a few other Japanese brands are a whole lot better and speaking of that The Shindaiwas that are made these days aren’t even made in Japan anymore they are made in china now lol

agree with comments on Shindiawa. The hard chrome plating really helps to keep the blades clean, and because they are plated, I put off sharpening them as much as possible. I highly recommend these shears for anyone who has lots of trimming and looking for a quality cut.

Just for the people confused about naming conventions, The Japanese company Kioritz originally marketed their equipment under the Echo brand in the US and other overseas places as they though the Japanese name was too "foreign", the name Echo eventually became standardised even being used in Japan. Shindaiwa was a rival Japanese manufacturer that also made chainsaws amongst other things, in 2008 the two companies merged to become Yamabiko corporation. Since then all echo / kioritz / shindaiwa products belong to the same parent company. You'd need to check the parts books to see what parts are shared between similar echo / shindawa current models as I am unfamiliar. Some of the older Shindaiwa saws like the smaller 377 (37cc) and the larger 757 (75cc) were great workhorses that could take a hell of a beating.

I also need to know if any of the hedge trimmers will work on branches that have gotten out of control to reign them in? In other words is the motor strong enough and can the blades handle thicker branches?

Yeah it makes me sick seeing the subpar work people do on bushes. The lazy hacking, inability to PROPERLY shape hedges on a plant by plant approach. It's necessary sometimes if they weren't trimmed properly the first time because that's what sets the baseline of how any young plant will grow from there. FFS there's not many true professional's left these days.
